Who we are
Midlight started because we wanted to offer really good design ideas — quickly, and without the jargon you usually get. A small team of designers, drafters, tech enthusiasts and thinkers: young, hungry to grow, vibrant, and good at getting on your level and designing to suit.
Faster turnarounds, neater plans, lower costs than architects who charge 5% or more of the build price. We leave out the 50 pages of detailed construction details most people skip across — without losing the message or the design intent.
It’s a model that works for clients who can spec the detail themselves, are engaging an interior designer, or working with a competent builder.

From first walk to last key.

Site walk
A free first visit to read the block, the light, the overlay. No pitch — just a conversation and, usually, a rough sense of what’s possible.
02·
Brief & feasibility
We write a brief together and test it against budget, site constraints, and council. If it doesn’t add up, we say so early.
03·
Concept & DA
Sketch design, refinement, then a Development Application when needed. We handle the council side.
04·
Documentation
Working drawings that builders actually like quoting from — consultant coordination included.
05·
Construction
We stay on the team through build — answering questions, holding design intent, quietly.
